The Global Technology division was undergoing a transformation from a transactional organization to a strategic, forward-looking business unit. Through several feedback mechanisms, employees expressed they did not understand the new direction and wanted to hear directly from leadership.
After conducting primary research and consulting existing data, I developed a comprehensive change communications strategy. I structured the annual town hall to highlight specific components of the business plan. I promoted the event, created content, analyzed employee feedback, and coordinated novel executive engagement with employees post town hall. As part of the overall transition, I also created a video series featuring leaders explaining the corporate vision and how it impacts employees. Other components included a revamped intranet, “coffee with” events, online polls, and a leadership engagement plan. The communications strategy was a success with 93% of employee respondents having a better understanding of Global Technology’s strategic direction.
